Since 1990, Equest has touched the lives of hundreds of individuals with disabilities. Equest is acutely aware of the many medical bills and financial hardships our families experience on a regular basis. We’ve worked tirelessly to keep our riding costs down through fundraisers, grants and generous financial contributions.  Despite these efforts, many of our riders’ families still struggle and look to Equest’s sponsorship program for help. We’ve asked businesses and individuals to participate by underwriting a full or partial scholarship for one of our riders. While this program has been quite successful, demand for our services is always growing and the current need is greater than our present resources. Your support could make a world of difference for someone seeking the life-changing benefits of equine-assisted therapy.

The therapy horse is truly the provider, the caregiver, the friend, the confidant, the magic, the joy, the love. Horses do not laugh when told secrets. They embrace people of all abilities. With their therapy horse, participants experience true, nonjudgmental love and friendship. For many riders, this is the first such experience of their lives. Many pieces are so critical to a therapeutic riding program, but none more important than having quality therapy horses. Without these wonderful horses, there would be no Equest Center.
